Facility:
This facility is a Level I Trauma Center and tertiary hospital that is part of a large, well-established regional health system serving the greater Duluth area and surrounding communities. Providers may work across multiple locations within the system, including a newly opened state-of-the-art medical center, surgery centers, outpatient endoscopy centers, and affiliated hospital campuses, offering diverse clinical exposure and a dynamic work environment.

Opportunity:
Certified – Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity working Monday through Friday with occasional weekend availability
• Medically directed practice in collaboration with collegial Anesthesiologists
• 1-2 longer cases or 3-4 shorter cases per 8-hour shift on average
• Busy surgical schedule covering all surgical service lines excluding transplants and pediatric hearts
• One-to-one patient care providing anesthesia in operating rooms, Cath lab, GI, EP, MRI, and CT as needed
• Caring for all patient age groups including adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations at a Level I Trauma Center
• Shifts available: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday; 12 or 16-hour shifts on weekends with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Required anesthesia skills include general anesthesia (adult, pediatric, neonatal, and trauma), spinal anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and obstetrical cases
• Must be proficient in neurosurgical cases including head and spine procedures
• Experience with open heart anesthesia, thoracic cases, complex vascular cases, and complex orthopedic cases required
• Ventilation management and evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues required
• Arterial line placement required
• Must be a graduate (Master's or Doctorate) of an accredited school of anesthesia
• Must hold current or be able to obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Minnesota
• Must be certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
• Current CPR and BCLS/ACLS certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 45-120 days
• Nearest airports are DLH (Duluth, MN) or MSP (Minneapolis, MN)

Compensation:
